Electric Motor RPM Calculation

 Electric Motor RPM Calculation:
RPM=120*Hz/P

  Hz: Hertz(50Hz or 60Hz)  P: Pole( Usually 2,4,6,8)
  Note: The mostly used pole is 4,6.
  (1) When the pole is 4, Hz=50   RPM=120*50/4=1500
  (2) When the pole is 4, Hz=60   RPM=120*60/4=1800
  (3) When the pole is 6, Hz=50   RPM=120*50/6=1000
  (4) When the pole is 6, Hz=60   RPM=120*60/6=1200
  Note: We also can use gear reducer to change the motor RPM.
